Volunteer Opportunities
Here is your opportunity to contribute to the community!! Check out the following volunteer positions and donate a hand to make your neighborhood a better place.
Community picnic: There's a job for everyone. Play games with kids, event coordination and organization, set up, and tear down.
Photographer: Explore the neighborhood and its beauty. Along the way, take digital photos that could be used in the Eastside Hill News.
Meadow Gardners: Bring a pair of work gloves, a shovel and water to drink down to the Boyd Park meadow/prairie, just east of the pavilion. This will be an even greater nature area in the near future—but we need your help now to make it so. Come once to one of the group events
(check out our 'calendar' for dates) and after that you can work on it any time, because you’ll know what to do.
Love homes photographer: We need someone to take pictures of the Eastside Hill homes that are particularly well maintained and/or decorated for the holidays.
Business Corner writer: The Eastside Hill News features a column regarding Eastside Hill business. The job involves setting up interviews, writing a short article, and submitting it.
Newsletter delivery: We are always looking for energetic individuals to help distribute our quarterly newsletter to Eastside Hill residents.
Park and trail clean up: Keeping our streets, parks, and river bank clean is important to the Eastside Hill. Every little bit helps.
Neighborhood watch coordinator: We need a contact for the neighborhood watch program. Job includes keeping in touch with block captains, obtaining area police reports, and coordinate the National Night Out picnic.
Neighborhood watch block captain: The Eastside Hill will be divided into blocks in order to take part in the neighborhood watch. This person would host periodic meetings with neighbors to exchange names and numbers and talk about ways to help eachother.
